in pages Boruto: Naruto Next Generations In the manga, the battle against the Kara organization continues with the management of the rogue ninja gang. With Naruto and the Konoha ninja doing the impossible and defeating Jigen, Kara’s former disciple, Kode, looks to fulfill what his deceased mentor and Otsutsuki are trying to achieve. With Code trying to kidnap Amado, Kara’s former head of research and development, Shikamaru has revealed one of Konoha’s top priorities, and you may not be able to predict just what that priority is.

warning. If you haven’t yet read the last chapter of Boruto: Naruto Next GenerationsChapter 70, you might want to walk away completely because we’re going to plunge into dangerous spoiler territory.

Shikamaru has always been one of the smartest ninjas inhabiting the Hidden Leaf Village, whose ingenuity and tactical abilities helped him become the first of his classmates during the Chunin Exam Arc Test for the Shonen Series. With the shadow-wielding ninja transformed into Naruto Uzumaki’s right-hand man during his tenure as the Seventh Hokage, Shikamaru seems to be thinking about Konoha’s budget problems even under the most stressful situation.

Kude and his new allies within the Kara Organization have Amado and Shikamaru trapped in a locked room, as Naruto, Boruto, Sasuke and Kawaki attempt to make their way inside, but Shikamaru is warned to break the door due to budget constraints:

“I don’t have time to explain now! It’s a real sensitive situation so please don’t interfere! Don’t ruin the expensive lock system and get in here. The village budget is already shrinking every year as it is!”

Konoha was at least able to save a few bucks because Naruto and his company didn’t break the door and enter the fight, but in doing so, Code and his temporary allies allowed Amado to be kidnapped. While Shikamaru and his allies did not lose their lives, Amado was forced to unleash the potential of the Code, creating an even greater threat to Hidden Leaf Village.
